Book Review: Royally Off-Limits: A Sweet Royal Enemies to Lovers RomCom (Royally Kissed Book 4) Kindle Edition by Kate O'Keeffe
If you’re craving a charming royal romance with heart and fun, Royally Off-Limits is the perfect pick, especially for the cozy holiday season we're in. I curled up with this one on crisp afternoons, sipping Earl Grey and soaking in the last bits of autumn sun. And when the chill crept in? A soft blanket, my pup, and curled up with this book were all I needed.

The story follows a journalist who’s made a name for herself by calling out Prince Maximilien’s antics, only to be hired by the royal family to film a behind-the-scenes series on the very prince she roasted. What unfolds is a delightful enemies-to-lovers slow burn, full of witty banter, unexpected depth, and royal fun. He’s scandal-prone, she’s got secrets, and the chemistry? Off the charts.
I loved how the author balanced humor with heart. The characters are incredibly likable, and Max’s redemption arc is both satisfying and fun to read unfold. If you’ve been following the Royally Kissed series, you’ll be thrilled to finally read Max’s own story, it’s been a long time coming, and it does not disappoint. And if you’re new to the series, this one works beautifully as a standalone.
I’ll be honest: the first book in this series had my whole heart… until this one came along. It’s hard to admit, but Royally Off-Limits might just be my new favorite. It’s the kind of read that makes you smile big as you read, root for love, and want to rewatch The Princess Diaries with a full heart.
Highly recommend for fans of:
• Enemies to lovers
• Forced proximity
• Snarky banter
• Cozy, romantic reads with depth
Perfect for curling up this holiday season. Add it to your TBR, you’ll be glad you did.
